AJENTO Ads Policy
Effective 29 October 2026 · Applies to every paid promotion on AJENTO.
Property advertising on AJENTO must be accurate, transparent and safe.
1. What may be advertised
- Your own live listing, or your own published public post. Content inside private groups and direct messages can never be promoted.
- You must own the property or hold genuine authority to market it, and the underlying content must comply with the Community Guidelines.
- Every campaign requires admin approval before it runs. Automated pre-checks flag risky claims for human attention; approval is not an endorsement or a legal guarantee.
2. Prohibited claims
- Guaranteed investment returns, risk-free profits or promises of appreciation.
- Misleading prices, bait-and-switch availability or fabricated discounts.
- Any request for payment before a property inspection or owner verification.
- Fake urgency (“only today”, fabricated competing buyers) intended to pressure viewers.
- Discriminatory audience targeting or content that excludes protected groups.
3. Ad credits and billing
Ads cost 10 ad credits per 1,000 counted impressions (0.01 credit per impression). Your total budget is reserved atomically from your ad-credit wallet at submission, and spending never exceeds your daily or total budgets. At rejection, stop or expiry, unused whole credits return to your wallet; used fractional credits are rounded up once. Pausing retains your reservation for resumption. Expired campaigns stop serving immediately; refunds are processed within approximately one hour, or immediately when you open your campaign page.
Estimated reach shown in the campaign wizard is a budget-based impression estimate, not a guarantee and not a count of unique people. Targeting choices and available audience may reduce delivery.
4. Placement and labelling
Ads are clearly labelled Sponsored wherever they appear: in feed slots (every fifth item) and at the top of Search results. A Why am I seeing this? link explains the audience criteria that matched you. Ads never run inside private groups or direct messages.
5. Measurement and anti-fraud
An impression is counted on our servers after the ad is at least half visible for one second, or when opened. Clicks require a served impression. Inquiries count actual new listing conversations started within 24 hours of an ad click; simply viewing a post or property is not an inquiry. Signed-in members see at most three counted impressions per campaign per Lagos calendar day. Repeat impressions and clicks from the same member within five minutes are ignored, and advertisers’ own views are excluded, so counts cannot be inflated artificially.
6. Rejections, appeals and enforcement
Rejected campaigns include a reason, and their reserved budget is refunded in full. You may edit and resubmit, or appeal the decision through the Safety page. Ads that breach this policy after approval may be stopped, and repeated or serious violations may lead to advertising restrictions or account action under the Community Guidelines.
