Reviews Policy
Effective 29 October 2026 · Governs all ratings and written reviews on AJENTO.
1. Real interactions only
A review may only be written after a genuine interaction recorded on AJENTO: a completed viewing or a confirmed or verified deal between the two parties. Each interaction unlocks exactly one review, written by the other party to that interaction. Self-reviews, reviews of your own listings or accounts, purchased or incentivised ratings, and reviews based on fabricated interactions are prohibited and will be removed.
2. What a review contains
Reviews rate five criteria from 1 to 5 — communication, listing accuracy, professionalism, responsiveness and an overall score — with an optional written comment of up to 1,000 characters and up to three photos. Every review displays the reviewer’s role (for example buyer, tenant, landlord or agent) and a Verified interaction label. Stakeholders may also rate each other after a confirmed deal; these appear separately as Professional ratings.
3. Writing a fair review
- Describe your own experience factually and respectfully.
- Do not include private documents, phone numbers, account details or other personal data.
- Do not use reviews to threaten, extort, or demand payment or favours in exchange for a better rating.
- Conflicts of interest must be genuine: do not review business partners, family or your own alternate accounts.
4. Editing, replies and reports
The reviewer may edit their review within seven days of posting. The reviewed member may publish one public reply and may report a review they believe violates this policy, but cannot edit or delete it. AJENTO does not arbitrate the truth of disputed facts; we remove reviews only where they breach this policy or applicable law.
5. Fraud controls
Automated systems flag suspicious patterns: two accounts repeatedly reviewing each other, many reviews from one device or network in a short period, and brand-new accounts leaving five-star reviews. Flagged reviews are held in an admin queue and do not count toward averages, distributions or Trust Scores until a human approves them. Members who manipulate ratings may lose reviewing privileges or face account restrictions under the Community Guidelines.
6. Trust Scores
Trust Scores from 0 to 100 are computed on our servers from a published formula: 40% average rating weighted toward recent reviews, 30% verified deals, 20% verification level and 10% response rate. Scores are read-only and cannot be edited by any member, including the score’s owner. A Trust Score is an informational signal only — it is not a legal guarantee of title, solvency or future conduct, and it does not replace your own due diligence or legal advice.
7. Account deletion
When an account is deleted, its reviews are anonymised: the written text, photos and replies are erased and the reviewer’s identity is removed. Star ratings may remain as historical verified-interaction records so that aggregate scores stay meaningful for the community.
8. Enforcement and appeals
Reviews that breach this policy may be hidden or removed after human review, with a reason recorded and an appeal option provided. Removal decisions follow the same appeals process described in the Community Guidelines.
